He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Ellestad and Mablel Ellestad. He is survived by : his wife Cathy; his sons, Trevor (Jared) and Blake (Veruska); his sisters, Faye and Brenda (Art); and his grandchildren, Ash and Ivy.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Centre (5600 Centre St N, Calgary, AB T2K0T3).
