He was predeceased by: his daughter Carol Ann; his wife Muriel; his significant other Faye; and his grandchildren, Kelly Patricia Capewell and Lyle Scott Madge.

He is survived by: his children, Chris Dunn (George), Ian Addinall and Gillian; his grandchildren, Lance Dunn (Shannon), Courtney Wallace (Todd), Trent Dunn (Trish), Tanya Madge and Keith Madge (Shyla); his great grandchildren, Tyson, Sarah, Nic, Keauna, David, Elijah, Connor, Kayley, Echo, Aidan and Ben; and his close friends, Rita, Joan, Pauline, Peter Brown and Alan Hunter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Airdrie Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
