The family announces the passing of Violet Casson (Calgary, Alberta) on August 12, 2026. Violet, born on December 7, 1926, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Norman; her son David Casson; her brothers, Bill and Gary Barker; and her stepsisters, Agnes Matheson and Jean Rolseth.

She is survived by: her children, Terri Wood (Dave), Don (Karl Schuler) and Dan; and her grandchildren, Nikki Wood (Rob Kwiczak), Angie Gill (Wes), Tim Wood (Suzie), Miranda Casson and Krystal Casson. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
