It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter James Powell (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret Powell; and his stepfather Frank Powell. He is survived by: his wife Penny Powell; his sons, Mike (Terry), Dan (Karen) and Doug (Kim); his grandchildren, Connor, Rebecca (Alex), Alyssa (Calvin), Jenna (Bowden), Jordan and Cameron; and his great grandchildren, Hudson, Nixon, Oakley, Booker and Jojo.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Glencoe Club (636 29 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2S0P1).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Calgary Humane Society or The Heritage Park Society.
