He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Julia; and his siblings, Mary, Ann, Slavy (Slim) and Andrew (Andy).

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, Lynda (Gary), Gayle (Mark), John and Gary (Nancy); his grandchildren, Jason and Shauna (Marcos); and his great grandchildren, Jaydon, Natalee, Faith, Zoe and Lily. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
