He was predeceased by: his brothers, Armin and Egon; and his grandchildren, Jacob and Jessica. He is survived by: his wife Jean Schmidt of Calgary; his children, Jim, Amanda, Trista and Tom (Kelly); his grandchildren, TJ, Derek and Danielle; his daughter Sylvia; his grandchild Katya; his stepson Vaughn (Lori); his stepgrandchild Jayden; and his godson Harold Krenz.
