He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Alma; and his siblings, Viola, Ted, Percy and Milt.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta; his children, Barb Standish (Lance), Robert Nerrie (Arlene) and Susan Henke (Ken); his grandchildren, David Standish, Lisa Standish (Jeff Rutherford), Melissa Rodger (Nairn) and Shane Henke (Anu); his great grandchildren, Everley, Bowen, Sullivan Rodger, Ava, Logan Rutherford, Mila and Max Henke; and his sister Marguerite Owen.
