He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl and Gladys; his siblings, Donald, Robert, Eric, Vernon, Grayce and Shirley; and his grandchildren, Jeanine and Jordan Roppel.
He is survived by: his children, Mardy Skibsted (Janet), Kim Skibsted, Tammy Roppel (Darryl), Shane Skibsted (Sandy) and Michele Skibsted (Rick Strobridge); his grandchildren, Candace Roppel-Bader (Byron Bader), Brant Skibsted (Jayme Hall), Jayden Skibsted (Steph Plante), Bruce Skibsted (Jenna), Daylyn Kolynchuk (Stu), Kennedy and Sydney Stewart; his great grandchildren, Theoren, Harrison Bader, Sage, Cila Skibsted, Kane and Kinsley Kolynchuk; his sister Norma Hausberg (John) of Calgary; and also John. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
