With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Brian MacDonald (Calgary, Alberta), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though William may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Myrna. He is survived by: his children, Jody, Lori, Andy and Neil; and his wife Diane. He is also survived by his six children and their partners, his 16 grandchildren and his six great-grandchildren, as well as many close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages spending time outdoors in his memory—casting a line, sitting by a campfire, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature he held so dear.
