He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellen Pearson and Oscar Pearson; his brother Bob; and his siblings-in-law, Betty and Jim Rowe.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Kent (Irene), Mark (Yvonne), Lea (Jamie) and Christa; his grandchildren, Brendan (Robyn), Natasha, William, Alanna, Andrew and Cole; and his sisters, Blanche (Orv) and Helen (Doug).
