He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Bryan (Sandra), Edwin and Ronald; his son-in-law Garry Andres; his grandchildren, Tyler Andres (Deanna), Sara Huizinga (Russell), Lisa Andres, Alexander Gray, Laura Mantei (Aaron) and Rachel Gray-Merrit (Austin); his great grandchildren, Julia, Malcolm Huizinga, Nora, Alice Andres, Annalise and Audrey Mantei; his wife Shirley Ann Margaret; his daughter Brenda Lorraine Andres; his wife Dora Janet Henwood; and his parents, Gertrude Gray and Ernest Gray. He was also cherished by the youngest of two brothers and two sisters.
