He was predeceased by: his parents, Julie Wing and Harvie Wing. He is survived by: his wife Ardith; his children, David (Colleen) and Sheri Edmunds; and his grandchildren, Bailey, Taylor, Travonne and Shanoi.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care or to the charity of one's choice.

“Just learned of Gerry's passing. My sincerest condolences to Gerry's family. I was a longtime friend of Gerry and his family in the earlier years - from high school on to the years when the family resided on the acreage in the Fort Saskatchewan area. I recall both David and Sheri very well as young children - Gerry was always so proud of you. He was a great friend and I have many wonderful memories of him. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. RIP Gerry. Arnold Galet”
