She was predeceased by: her husband Arne; her parents, Alex Veit and Elizabeth Veit; her son Tom; and her grandchildren, Shane and Samantha.

She is survived by: her children, Ron Brothen (Shirley) and Donna Brothen. She is also survived by one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
