He was predeceased by: his former wife Doris; his wife Hilda; his parents, Josef and Maria; his stepson Norbert; his stepson-in-law Dean; his sister Emma; and his cousin Erwin Schuck of Germany.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Rutberg (Bob), Joette Walsh (Tim) and Dean Rottmar; his stepchildren, Joe Kloster (Leanne) and Theresa Fossen; and his stepdaughter-in-law Linda Kloster. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as, numerous friends.
