He was predeceased by : his siblings, Claris, Ethel, Selma, Doris, Edna, Herbert and Oliver.

He is survived by : his wife Julie; his children, Larry Olson (Louise), John Olson (Tracy) and Dale Olson (Dee); and his brothers, Marvin Olson and Ervin Olson (Diane). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
