He was predeceased by: his wife Cindy; his son Rodney; his parents, John Remanda and Helen Konschuh; his brother Bruce Remanda; and his grandson Mychail.

He is survived by: his children, Corey (Nadine) and Kendra Remanda (David Thompson); his grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle (Rose), Samantha-Liegh, Keirsten, Kendrick, Gage and Kaitlyn; his great grandchildren, Eli, Asher, Lily and Lucy; and his siblings, Betty Larson (Rod), Rose, Beverly Sansom (Don), Linda Everitt (Billy) and Barry (Alice). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
