Lawrence Smithson Obituary

We bid farewell to Lawrence Smithson (Camrose, Alberta), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 11, 2026 at the age of 84. Lawrence touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smithson and Elizabeth Smithson; his wife Florence Rode; his son Grant; his parents-in-law, Gustave and Lily Rode; and his niece Laura Rosland Sorenson.

He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda; his grandsons, Paris and Alex Smithson; his siblings, Eileen Broen (Randle), Lila Rosland (Darrell) and Lee Smithson (Darlene); and his brothers-in-law, Ron Rode (Gail) and Phil. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
