He was predeceased by: his wife Helen; his daughter Kathryn; his parents, George and Kristine; his brother George; his sister-in-law Irene; and his nephew Kevin.
He is survived by: his children, Kristine Gilbertson and David Gilbertson (Kerry Balshaw); his son-in-law Lorne Warkentine; his grandchildren, Levi, Tessa and Aaron Warkentine; and his siblings, Nora Gilbertson, Freda Berg (Daniel), Cecilia Watts, Dorothy Elliott (Lynn) and Milton Gilbertson (Sharon).
