Myrtle Matthews Obituary
In loving memory of Myrtle Matthews of Camrose, Alberta, who departed this world on January 23, 2026 at the age of 89. Myrtle leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marven Orsen and Alice Renny; and her husband Richard Matthews (Dick). She is survived by: her siblings, Sylvia, Lester, Sandra, Charlotte and Marjorie; her children, Linda Marie Torpe, Alice Louise Matthews and David Marven Matthews; and her grandchildren, Johanna Saulnier (Joey Saulnier), Jason Torpe, Chandra Froehler, Andrew Froehler, Clara Froehler, Archer Froehler, Katie Berrecloth (Stuart Gilbert) and Richard Kole Berrecloth.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sedgewick United Church (4917 49 St, Sedgewick, AB T0B4C0).
Memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer Society of Canada, Diabetes Canada or Canadian Cancer Society.
