He was predeceased by: his father James Thirsk; his brothers, James, Leo, Darryl and Wayne; his niece Lindy Kontek-Thirsk; and his sister-in-law Shirley Feist.
He is survived by: his mother Ellen Thirsk; his daughters, Sarah (Mike), Jaylene (Jeff) and Karli (Mike); and his siblings, Beverly, Rod and Murray. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
