He was predeceased by: his wife Marion; his parents, John and Mary; and his brother Jack Mirtle (Valerie). He is survived by: his children, Brian Mirtle (Mary Smyth-Mirtle), Linda Mirtle (Scott Rudyk), Donna Gilchrist (Derek) and Janet Mirtle-Stroman (Patrick Stroman); and his brother Douglas Mirtle (Lilly). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
