He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Coultis and Wilhelmina Coultis; his wife Violet Coultis; and his siblings, Melvina Callies and Stanley Coultis.

He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Tarr of Calgary and Marlene Coultis of Camrose. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
