He was predeceased by: his significant other Myrna Orr; and his siblings, Mary Locken, Shirley Johansen, Harvey and Allan.

He is survived by: his children, Sonja Dykslag (Mario), Cheryl Fitchie (Steve), Sandra Howard (Chris) and James Kerr (Karla). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
