He was predeceased by : his former life partner Joyce; his parents, Leslie Lowther and Alta Lowther; and his brother Alan Lowther. He is survived by : his wife Helen; his daughters, Lynne Stang (Brent) and Susan Hess (Wolf); and his stepdaughters, Verlie Weiss (Andy), Vickie McLean and Vivian Billard (Dwayne). He is also survived by six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Wayne's memory may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
