He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim Sides and Annie Shot Both Sides; his friend Alfred; his wife Dorothy Shot Both Sides; his son Kevin; his grandfather Aostsotaow Shot Both Sides; his siblings, Clovis, Bernard, Rodrick Shot Both Sides, Mildred Chief Moon and Pauline Eagle; and his daughter Flora Healy.

He is survived by : his friends, Michael and Joseph; his siblings, Christine Bare Shin (Roy), Clara Chief Moon, Lena Shot Both Sides, Gabrielle Harry Bull, Shot Both Side, Maryanne Chief Moon (Mathew), Donald, Christopher and Jim; his grandson Alfred Shot Both (Reese); and his adoptive children, Gail, Rex and Suzanne. He is also survived by 32 grand children, 29 great grand children.
