He was predeceased by : his parents, Norman Mitchell and Ada Mitchell. He is survived by : his children, Leslie Mitchell-Leavitt, Brian Mitchell and Doug Mitchell; and his grandchildren, Levi Mason, Baxter Mason, Abigail Mason, Isaac Leavitt and Elizabeth Leavitt.
