He was predeceased by : his parents, Irvin Anderson and Edith Anderson; and his siblings, Heber Anderson (Doreen), Gladys Davidson (Max), Dean Anderson (Maydell) and Boyd Anderson (Betty).

He is survived by : his wife Joanne (Salmon); and his children, Kevin Anderson (Michell), Sandra Smith (Jeff), Colin Anderson, Darcy Anderson (Laura) and Jody Poettcker (Stephen). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
