She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Kern and Elizabeth Kern (Liptrap); her daughter Deborah; her former husband Reginald Hartzler of Carstairs, Alberta.; her grandchildren, Sophia and Addison; her husband George Heidebrecht; and her siblings, Jean, Porky, Tommy, Joe and Bill.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory (Valerie), Bradley (Rebecca Burrill) and Denise Hartung (Cody); her grandchildren, Natalie, Ethan, Gabriel, Brittany Caralle (Seth), Felicia Metze (Caleb), Lane Hartung and Max Hartung; her great grandchildren, Lydia Hazel Metze and Henry Reginald Metze; and her siblings, Patricia Cumor (Roland), Brenda Lynn (Archie) and Raymond Kern.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Services Chapel (1413 21 Ave, Didsbury, AB T0M0W0). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the West Zion Mennonite Church (Box 626, Carstairs, AB T0M0W0).
