He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Aarsby and Beatrice Aarsby; and his siblings, Val Edmondson, Beryl Francis and Clarence Aarsby.

He is survived by : his wife Rene Weber; his children, Terry Aarsby (Donna), Joanne Cottrell (Mike) and David Aarsby; his grandchildren, Kyle (Sydnie), Brandon (Jennifer), Kendall (Cassandra), Paul Aarsby (Emily), Ross Aarsby (Christine), Blake McDonald (Justine) and Troy McDonald (Nicole); and his great grandchildren, Paige, Havana, Theodora, Addy, Calvin, Fletcher Aarsby, Avery, Cash and Austin McDonald.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Carstairs Bancroft United Church or Canadian Cancer Society.
