Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Madeleine Downie of Carstairs, Alberta, born in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan, who passed away at the age of 89, on September 10, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Murray Carmen Downie; her daughters, Myrna Louise and Roxanne Marie; and her parents, Alfred Joseph and Louise Josephine Masson.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Downie, Martin Downie (Gail) of Carseland, Corey Downie (Diane) of Airdrie, Alberta, Bernice Downie of Rochester, Michelle Kobol (Bob) of Crossfield, Colette Herman (Darryl) of Carstairs and Sandra Schmick (James) of Carstairs. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great- grandchildren, extended family members and close friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 53 (121 10 Ave N, Carstairs, AB T0M0N0).
