He was predeceased by: his parents, Gottlieb Schauer and Lydia Schauer; his wife Evelyn Steele (Craig Schauer); his sons, Andrew and David; his sons-in-law, Ron and John; and his grandson-in-law Rod.
He is survived by: his sisters, Ruth, Eileen (Bob), Iris and Doreen; his children, Janet, Vicky (Bob) and John (Lanette); his close friend Barb; and his grandchildren, Tracy (Chris), Doraine, Trevor Marley (Joanne), Kaylene (Mike), Shannon (Doug), Chad (Sharon), Chuck (Angie), Amanda (Marc), Erin (Darren) and Melissa (Matt). He is also survived by many great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter; along with many friends.
