She was predeceased by: her former husband Gerald Allen; her mother Doren MacDonald; her siblings, Freda Phipps, Leo Martin, Edward Martin and Ronnie Martin; her son-in-law Stuart Laurie; and her nephew Stacey Lyons.
She is survived by: her husband Rick Kennedy; her children, Dan Allen (Pat) and Sandra Laurie (late Stuart); her grandchildren, Noël (Blair), Ashlyn, Kristen (Aaron) and Jackson (Maddie); her great grandchildren, Morgan, Avery, Blakely and Tahner; her siblings, Joyce Lyons (Kenny), Mae Martin-Poulsen (Lenny) and Bobby Martin; and her brother-in-law Bill McMitchell (late Freda Phipps). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Donations in Charlene's memory may be made to the Lethbridge Humane Society, an organization close to her heart in honor of her deep and abiding love for animals.
