He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Rita Bird; his grandchildren, June, Elijah and Kyrell; his father Clement Leather; his aunts and uncles, Rose Running, Nancy Whit Eagle (Dexter), Rose Melting Tallow, Georgina Solway, Jeanette Leather, Theresa Leather (Jason), Bernice Leather (Bill), Joe Leather (Evangeline), Gerald Leather (Debbie) and Francis Melting Tallow (Ruth); and his grandparents, Paul, Mary Running Bird, George and Laura Leather.

A funeral service was held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
