He was predeceased by : his parents, Carman John Grigg and Muriel Minota (Rathwell); and his brother Stuart John Grigg. He is survived by : his children, Alison Lovering (Jason), Erin Morden (Michael), Jonathan Grigg (Sariah) and Vernon Grigg (Amy); his grandchildren, Raven, Thorrin, Minota, Gillian, Frasier, Lilah, Reuben, Shelby, Maverick and Verona; his sister-in-law Betty Grigg; and his aunt Bee Cooke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.

“Deepest sympathies from the Cookes in Ottawa. I have not seen a lot of Murray since we grew up in Clinton. Murray and I were about the same age, and our older brothers (Stu and Steve, now both passed) were also about the same age. Murray's mom, when she moved into town from the farm, actually lived in my grandfather's house just across the street from my mom who was Murray's dad's sister. To the old days and to Murray, a good and decent man. Rest in peace. Your cousin......Rolfe”

“We are so sorry to hear about murray’s passing. I had worked with murray at home depot and did so enjoy his personality and attitude. He always seemed to be positive, and had great faith. I enjoyed talking to him about his car and was really impressed with the way he could do things, no matter what it was. I enjoyed our conversations about politics and all. He will be missed. Our prayers go out to all the family. Robert and Lydia haslam.”
