He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Mitchell and Thelma Mitchell; his brother Rick Mitchell; his grandparents, Robert, Lois Brooks, William and Hazel Mitchell; his aunts and uncles, Catherine Brooks, Adelaide Harrison, Joyce Atkinson, Shirley Hardie, Donald Brooks, Thomas Brooks, Raymond Hardie and Robert Brooks; and his cousins, April Brooks, Paula Brooks and Jennifer Atkinson.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Mitchell; his children, Scott (Deb), Kirk (Tara), Cory (Maria), Jennifer, Christie (Art) and Ashley; his grandchildren, Reed, Cole, Jenna, Carter, Halle, Knox, Callia, Jaxx, Carstin, Grayson, Myer, Maya and Hayes; his sisters, Sally, Deb (Bob) and Kim Carol (Joe); his parents-in-law, Ron and Marg Durie; and his sisters-in-law, Penny (Darrell) and Julie (Neil).
