He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Mieke Du Rand and Keagan Du Rand; the mother of his children Juanita Du Rand; his girlfriend Katy Szaski; his daughter Hannah; his parents, Arie Rand and Cathy Du Rand; and his siblings, Arie Du Rand and Natalie Labuschagne.
