It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geoffrey Jordan Betts (Cold Lake, Alberta), who passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 29, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Geoffrey had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Geoffrey may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Suzy Cardinal and Gideon Betts; his siblings, Shayla Betts, Austin Whiskeyjack and Nathan Piche; his grandparents, Colin, Annette Betts, Shirley Cardinal and Raymond Hunter; and his uncle Perry Cardinal.
A wake will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 11:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cold Lake First Nations Spiritual Centre (5015 55 St, Cold Lake, AB T9M1N4).
