With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Raymond William Coates of Cold Lake, Alberta, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Coates and Ethelen Coates; his brothers, Mervin Coates and Lloyd Coates; and his sisters-in-law, Jeanette Coates and Josephine Coates.
He is survived by: his wife Adele Coates; his children, Michelle Kaminski (Terry) and Monte Coates; his granddaughters, Megan Lanceleve (Justin) and Sarah Rancier (Randy); his great grandchildren, Beau Lanceleve and Sawyer Rancier; and his siblings, Audrey Jamieson (Ross), Laverne Coates (Marta), Claire Coates (Carol), Guy Coates (Amber), Lorraine Coates, Denise Pezderic (Marlin) and Ray. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Assumption Roman Catholic Church (5107 48 Ave, Cold Lake, AB T9M1S8).
