He is survived by: his son Tyrone Schmidt (Candace) of Innisfail; his grandchildren, Dane and Brady Schmidt of Innisfail; his daughter Dustie Schmidt of Edmonton; his siblings, Bill Schmidt (Marina) of Coronation, Allan "Shorty" Schmidt (Maxine) of Coronation, Mike Schmidt of Coronation, Diane Schmidt of Coronation and Sherry Golby (Roger) of Coronation; his uncle Stanley "Pete" Schmidt; and his aunts, Donna Holt (Verne), Shirley Colp and Carol Wendler. He is also survived by nieces, great nieces, great-great nieces, nephews, great nephews and great-great nephews.
