With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Claranne Olava Dixon of Crooked Creek, Alberta, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Claranne left this world on May 17, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her father Bill Halvorson; her stepfather Charlie Aldridge; her mother-in-law Rhoda Dixon; her mother Bernice Aldridge; and her brothers-in-law, Kirk Dixon and Bruce Dixon.
She is survived by: her husband Jim (Jim); her children, Jim Jr. (Hannah), Elizabeth (Ben), Stephanie (James) and Veronica (Kenny); her grandchildren, Charlie, Reed, Anna, Drew, Rhéa, Fergus, Gabriel and Shaemus; her brother Michael Halvorson (Jude); and her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hrudey (Steve), Linda Dixon and Valerie Dixon. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilson's Funeral Chapel (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe, Alberta T4L2G5). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew's United Church (5226 51 Ave, Lacombe, AB T4L1J6).
