He was predeceased by: his father Helmer Johnson; his grandparents, Henry, Lena Johnson, Steve and Mary Ewachewsky; and his brother Allen Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Shelly Johnson; his children, Lori Unger (Ryan) and Shane Drescher (Carol); his grandchildren, Kierra, Rylie, Slade, Avery, Nathaniel, Kaden and Preston; his brothers, Darrel Johnson (Val) and Bill Johnson; Stella Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Donations can be made in Bernard's memory to the Grimshaw/Berwyn Hospital Long Term Care Unit, where Bernard was well cared for in the last few years of his life.
