He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Chartrand and Philomone Chartrand; his daughter Julie Chartrand; and his siblings, Laurette Gartner, Armand Chartrand and Raymond Chartrand.

He is survived by : his son Steven Chartrand of Edmonton; and his siblings, Shirley Jensen (Bill) of Delta, B. C., Richard Chartrand (Christine) of Camrose, Denise Zietarsky of Camrose and Rene Chartrand (Carol) of Camrose.
