He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Oke and Mabelle Oke; his wife Janette; his children, Terry (Barbara), Lavon (Monica), Lorne (Deb) and Laurel Logan; and also Marvin Logan. He was also cherished by sixteen grandchildren; soon to be seventeen great-grandchildren; many extended family.

I enjoyed working with Ed Oke on EMCC history and archives for the last ten years, and thank God for his service to the body of Christ in pastoral and College work. He wrote an insightful theological history of the EMCC for Eileen Lageer's history. I pray more of us will give attention to our doctrines as he did. “Rev. Oke impacted many lives for the Lord. I was blessed to take New Testament Greek from him while at Mtn. View Bible College. He was also president of the college for some of the years I was there. He had a great heart for young people to follow Jesus. I loved to watch him play the piano at Gull Lake Bible Camp during my younger years. Rev. Oke was faithful in preaching and teaching God's Word. May the Lord grant comfort and peace to his families.”
