He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenz Schmidt and Fredricka Schmidt (Riggie); and his siblings, Marvin and Barbara. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Schmidt; and his children, Lorne Schmidt (Noreen), Heidi Schmidt and Holly Carrothers (Barry). He is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in David's name can be made to the Friends of the Eastern Slopes Association, P.O. Box 1441, Sundre, AB T0M 1X0There will be no formal service held.
