He was predeceased by: his siblings, Jan Harnack and Mike Allen; and his brother-in-law Al Harnack. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Allen (Baker); his children, Christine Brown and Cheyne Allen (Sandra); his grandchildren, Jason Brown (Natasha), John McKinnely Allen and Anneke Allen; his great grandchildren, Jayden Brown and Brieanna Brown; his brother Gerry (Marge); and his sister-in-law Pauline. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Jack's name to the Canadian Lung Association, or Friends of Whitecourt, or to a charity of ones choice.
