She was predeceased by : her brother Clifford; her parents, Nursey Howse and Louise Howse; and her son-in-law Harvey. She is survived by : her husband Stanley Yurkewich; her children, Gary, Ron (Becky), Barb Volf, Peter, Brenda and Yvonne; and her grandchildren, Raylene, Ty, Cory, Missy, Kirstie, Brett, Amy and Tyson.

In Lieu of flowers, the family would ask that a donation in honor of Julie's name be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Ave, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 1Z2.
