He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Sandum and Maxine Sandum; his parents-in-law, William (Bill) and Kathleen Bishop; and his son-in-law Lawrence Stawnichy.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Sandum; his children, Travis Sandum (Tara) and Kimberley Stawnichy; his granddaughters, Katelyn, Jacquelyn, Marli Sandum, Trinity, Charleigh and Jaycee Stawnichy; his siblings, Lee Sandum (Lori), Larry Sandum and Barb Filkohazy (Ken); and his siblings-in-law, Lorne Bishop (Orlene) and Jeanne Treacy (Willard).

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hussar Community Hall.
