Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Smeal and Irene Smeal of Michichi, Alberta.. He is survived by: his wife Roberta; his children, Sherry (Andrew Strack), Connor and Tammy (Bryan Peterson) of Kelowna, B. C.; his siblings, Joyce Burnham, Helen McConathy, Ralph Smeal (Sherry) and Lorna Simpson (John); Dick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Anthony's Church (151 3 St W, Drumheller, AB T0J0Y4).
In lieu of flowers or charitable donations in honor of Dick, the family requests that you challenge yourself to "pay it forward.".
