Though Dirk may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dirk touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Braun and Susannah Braun; and his siblings, Katherine, John, Frank and Anne.
He is survived by: his children, Gail Amendt (Glenn) and Andrew Braun (Janet); and his grandchildren, Phoebe Amendt (Aaron Plamondon), Gavin Amendt and Amy Amendt (Kayle Cotton). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
