He was predeceased by: his parents, Johannes Witt and Leontine Witt; his brothers, Alvin and Bert; and his son-in-law Daryl Morishita.

He is survived by: his wife Helga Witt; his children, Anita Morishita, Donna and Greg; and his grandchildren, Micheal (Myranda), Melissa, CJ, Curtis, Carter, Cayson, Christopher, Joshua, Jesse, Michael and Damon.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Heritage INN and Convention Centre (1217 2 St W, Brooks, AB T1R1P7).
